SERVICE SPECIALIST

Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously.
- Guide guests through the menu, providing knowledge on Chettinad specialties, spice levels, and customization options.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Address guest complaints or issues professionally, escalating to management if necessary.
- Order Management:
- Take accurate orders and communicate any special dietary needs or preferences to the kitchen.
- Verify that food and beverages are delivered promptly and accurately to guests.
- Monitor tables and assist with additional requests, including refills and additional orders.
- Reservation and Waitlist Management:
- Manage table reservations and maintain an organized waitlist during peak hours.
- Inform guests of any delays and estimated wait times, providing them with updates as needed.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
- Assist with setup and cleanup, including maintaining cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations.
- Communicate any guest preferences or feedback to the team to improve service.
- Requirements:
- Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Familiarity with Indian cuisine; knowledge of Chettinad cuisine is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of traditional Indian curry dishes, ensuring the highest quality and consistency in taste, presentation, and authenticity. The ideal candidate has a passion for Indian cuisine, a deep knowledge of spices, and experience in cooking regional dishes, particularly South Indian specialties.
